Kolkata: West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress legislator Tamonash Ghosh who tested positive for coronavirus died on Wednesday, sources said.
The South 24-Parganas district legislator was 60 years old. Ghosh tested Covid-19 positive in May. He was admitted in a hospital ever since, the sources added.
The three-time MLA from the Falta assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district was admitted to a hospital after he tested positive for the disease, they said. He had several complications related to the heart and the kidney, the sources said.

The TMC legislator is one of the several people in public life who succumbed to the deadly virus. Earlier this month, Tamil Nadu politician J Anbazhagan, once of the most celebrated leaders of DMK died in Chennai after battling coronavirus over a week.
Moreover, with eleven more coronavirus death in West Bengal on Tuesday, the death toll in the state reached 580 while active cases in the state stand at 4930 as per the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
