New Delhi: This time, BJP's National Minister Sardar RP Singh said, according to Congress, nobody has the right to raise the question over the 'so-called martyr, Rajiv Gandhi.'
In the last 55 years, Congress has promoted corruption in the country, the most painful incident in Delhi, in which thousands of Sikhs were killed and humiliated.
All these incident took place during the tenure of Congress, and they are saying that BJP does not have any right to say about Mr Gandhi.
This is not only limited to Rajiv Gandhi but former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed emergency, without quoting any proper reason, which is observed as a black day in the history of democracy.
However, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, MLA of Akali Dal said, "at that time Rajiv Gandhi used to tell lies, now the dignity is maintained by his son.
"After the assassination of Indira Gandhi, Rajiv had said the massacre of Sikhs was a minor riot. When the tree of the banyan falls, the roots also shakes," said Sirsa.
Since the assassination of Indira Gandhi on October 31, the Sikhs were brutally murdered, by marking the homes of the Sikhs from the Voter List on November 1. Congress leader Jagdish Tytler has said this in a video itself," said Sirsa.
Sirsa also added, "Congress did nothing for the justice of the Sikhs and has always tried to suppress the case. Rajiv Gandhi, the then prime minister, is responsible for the massacre of Sikhs, and for this, the Sikh community demands Rajiv Gandhi's withdrawal from Bharat Ratna."
Prior to BJP, the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi Assembly also demanded the withdrawal of Bharat Ratna given to Rajiv Gandhi. They placed the proposal on the House Table. But the proposal was dismissed after getting the consent of Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders.
