Gao, who is also the president of the BJP, in Arunachal Pradesh had also stated that the Chinese government had also constructed two-lane roads near the power project along the Lency river.

The Ministry of External Affairs had earlier denied the reports of fresh Chinese aggression and said that China had only established a village right on the border in their country and was trying to boost tourism activities in the area by constructing roads.

Tezpur based Defence PRO, Lt. Col. Harsh Vardhan Pandey also said that the reports of China setting up power projects in Indian soil is just a rumour and that there is no truth in it.
