This Haryana farmer grows apples in sandy plains of Haryana

A farmer from Dadri district of Haryana, Dharmendra Sheoran growing apple, almonds, walnuts, cashews, fig trees in his sandy land successfully. He also received a call from scientists of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) as they are also surprised by this organic medicine.

Charkhidadri: Meet Dharmendra Sheoran, a farmer from Kanhara village of Dadri district, who has pulled off an incredible feat by successfully growing apple trees in the sandy plains of Haryana in summers.

Driven by the urge to do something different, Dharmendra is one of those farmers who are successfully cultivating crops not usually grown in their areas.

Besides apples, he has also grown almonds, walnuts, cashews, figs and sandalwood trees. Even during this summer, there is an apple on trees planted by Dharmendra.

Dharmendra has also prepared an organic medicine that can help to produce fruit on a barren tree. Dharmendra said that he got calls from scientists of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) as they are also surprised by this organic medicine.

The farmer said that he had written a letter to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Haryana, state Agriculture Minister and several departments including the Governor regarding this technique, but only the office of Prime Minister and Himachal Pradesh's Governor have sent a letter on reply.

BJP MLA from Badhra, Sukhwindar Mandhi said that this the hard work of the farmer which will inspire other farmers in the area.

"The government is ready to give every possible help to such farmers," added Sukhvindar.
