New Delhi: Former president of Jharkhand Pradesh Congres Committee and MP, Dr. Ajoy Kumar rejoined Congress on Sunday.
He was welcomed by Party president Sonia Gandhi and had quit the party to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in September 2019.
While in Congress he was in the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha and also became an MP from the same party from Jamshedpur.
Former IPS officer, while resigning from the post of Jharkhand Congress President he had accused some colleagues of promoting their personal interests and indulging in corruption.

Ajoy Kumar joined Tata Motors after resigning from the Indian Police Service and in 2011 contested the Lok Sabha by-election from Jamshedpur on the ticket of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) and won. He also contested Lok Sabha elections from the same party in 2014 but lost.
After this, he left JVM and joined Congress where he was made the state president.
He did not contest the previous Lok Sabha elections and worked for the success of the party but Congress did not perform well.
Angered by the allegations, he resigned from the post of Congress state president.
