New Delhi: Union Minister and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh on Wednesday talking about the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) win in the Bihar assembly elections said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a Messiah for the poor.

Modi got electricity in the remotest villages of India, got gas connections in every house, made toilets and did many other works for the benefit of the poor and that's why everyone voted in unison for him, said Singh.

Clearing the air, he said that Nitish Kumar will become the Chief Minister of Bihar and nobody should have any confusion about this thing as we work in view of state interest and national interest.

He said that in the year 2000 BJP won 66 seats and Nitish ji had 36 seats, even then BJP made Nitish the CM.

At the same time, the leaders of the Grand Alliance after losing in the Bihar elections are alleging EVM tampering in the polls for which they also went to the Patna Election Commission (EC) last night.

Reacting to the news, Singh said that the opposition always blames the EVMs after their defeat. He added that the opposition parties have no faith in constitutional institutions and in order to mislead the public, Grand Alliance always talks like this, but the public knows the truth.

Taking a dig at Tejashwi Yadav, Singh said that he was calling Nitish Kumar tired but the public retired him. The public has defeated the Grand Alliance. At first RJD had 80 MLAs now its reduced to 75. In this election, the people have rejected the grand alliance, he added.
