After 'Divider in Chief', TIME magazine says 'Modi united India'

Weeks after it called Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'Divider in chief", TIME magazine did a turnabout, opining that Modi 'United India like no Prime Minister in decades'.

New Delhi: The internationally acclaimed magazine 'TIME' seemingly took a 'U-turn' in its latest issue, as it recognised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as head of a 'United India'.

Just ahead of the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, the magazine tagged Modi as India's 'Divider in Chief'.

However, in an article in its latest issue, the magazine said "Modi has United India like no Prime Minister in decades."

The development is considered as a moral victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, against the criticism carried out by the magazine in its previous issue, which had generated a huge controversy.
