New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale hit Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in the wee hours of Saturday, India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Earlier, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake jolted Nicobar Islands on Friday night, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The earthquake struck the island at 23.59 pm, hitting a depth of ten kilometres.
