Cuttack: In a fresh development in connection with the marital discord between actor Anubhav Mohanty and his wife, actress Varsha Priyadarshini, the latter yesterday filed a complaint with the Purighat police here alleging that he locked her room on Friday night due to which she had to stay outdoor for around an hour.
Varsha lodged the complaint against Anubhav and two of his associates. Police later reached the residence of the parliamentarian as a part of the investigation. On the other hand, the MP has written to Odisha DGP Abhay urging the top cop to probe into an audio clip of a telephonic conversation between Varsha and her sisters, that has gone viral in social media.
“It is to bring to your notice that an audio clip has gone viral on social media as well as in other media platforms since last month, My wife, our families, our well-wishers across the world and I are extremely worried and confused after listening to that clip,” wrote Anubhav.
“The audio clip seems to be a telephonic conversation amongst my wife Varsha Priyadarshini, Bananee Sahu (Varsha’s eldest sister), Debjani Sahu Gouda (Varsha’s elder sister) and I. The telephonic conversation is extremely abusive and hateful,” he said in the letter.
I have full faith in Odisha Police and their investigation capabilities under your dynamic administration. I sincerely request you to look into this matter with much care and help the innocents by unmasking the conspirators along with their supporters,” he concluded.
