Karnal (Haryana): Slamming the remarks of Karnal Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM), Ayush Sinha, where he can be heard telling the policemen to bash the heads of the protesting farmers if they cross the barricading, Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that the words used by the SDM are condemnable and proper action will be taken against him.
“The use of such kind of words by an IAS officer for farmers is condemnable. Definitely, action will be taken against him. In a clarification, the SDM said he didn’t sleep for the last two days. He probably doesn’t know that the farmers also don't sleep for 200 days a year,” Chautala said.
On Saturday, as the farmers protesting against Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar demanding the repeal of the three contentious farm laws were lathicharged a video of the Karnal SDM, Ayush Sinha, surfaced online in which he can be heard telling the policemen to bash the heads of the protesting farmers if they cross the barricading. The video and the lathicharge on farmers evoked the ire of politicians and the public alike.
