Barmer (Rajasthan): An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale hit the Dhorimana and Gudamalani areas in Rajasthan's Barmer district at 11.15 am on Thursday morning.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the moderate-intensity quake was near Balotra city in Barmer. According to officials, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
Besides Barmer, tremors were felt in Sanchore of Jalore district and elsewhere at 11.15 am.
