Sunny Deol's latest release enjoyed an uncontested run at the box office for almost a month before Shah Rukh Khan's highly anticipated Jawan arrived in theaters on September 7. Though Gadar 2 hit the screens alongside Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 on August 11, the film headlined by Deol managed to sweep the box office and mint over Rs 500 crore in 24 days of its release. After crossing the milestone, Gadar 2 slowed down a bit at the box office and with Jawan's release the numbers are likely to decline by 65.7% at the domestic box office.

The film, however, witnessed a drop in collection soon after it crossed Rs 500 crore milestone at the box office. After a major dip of 67.95% on day 25, Gadar 2 box office collection is likely to remain steady on day 26, hints early estimates.

Sunny Deol and Ameersha Patel starrer Gadar 2 took the box office by storm upon its release on August 11 alongside Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film crossed Rs 500 crore mark at the domestic box office on the 24th day of its release. After witnessing a growth of 36.36% on Sunday, Gadar 2 box office collection, however, declined by 61.5% on day 25.

The film which opened at Rs 40.01 crore nett in India has finally achieved the feat on day 24 of its release. After emerging as the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time in the Hindi language at the domestic box office and breaking the KGF: Chapter 2 record, Gadar 2 is now eying to surpass the milestone set by Prabhas' Baabubali: The Conclusion.
