Karnal (Haryana): Farmers in Haryana today protested against Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar demanding the repeal of the three contentious farm laws. The protesting farmers were baton-charged by the police leading to injuries. Amid the heightened tensions in the area, a video of the Karnal SDM, Ayush Sinha, has surfaced online evoking the ire of politicians and the public alike. In the video, the Karnal SDM is be seen telling the policemen to bash the heads of the protesting farmers if they cross the barricading. Tweeting the video, BJP MP Varun Gandhi called the incident "unacceptable in democratic India." Gandhi, in his tweet, said that he hoped that the video was edited and not real.
