Uttarakhand: Uttarkashi district receives heavy snowfall

Normal life was thrown out of gear in Uttarakhand as some of the areas of the state received heavy snowfall on Tuesday as well as on Wednesday, affecting road connectivity, electricity and water supply. With a fresh spell of snowfall, Uttarkashi's Harshil Valley and Gangotri Dham were covered in a white blanket of snow. Meanwhile, the snowfall that started a month before the Chardham Yatra, has brought much respite to tourism businessmen in the area.
