Two injured in cattle festival held in Andhra Pradesh

At least two people were injured in the cattle festival organised in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The injured, a resident of Dornakambala village and a TV reporter, were rushed to the Tirupati Ruia Hospital for the treatment. Despite the ban on Jallikattu, the bull-taming event is conducted with much fanfare in the district. Jallikattu was banned by the Supreme Court in 2014. However, the ban could not be implemented effectively due to the overwhelming public support for the traditional sport.
