Lapses in activist's arrest, says lawyer Rebecca John

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Rebecca John, a senior lawyer, dwells on lapses in the procedure to arrest the 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi. She alleged that the police arrested her prematurely. She further questioned whether the police were right in arresting her and producing her before a magistrate in Delhi without going through a transit remand procedure in Bengaluru? She said that this step was not illegal but definitely improper.
