Odisha: COVID-19 suspect's body carried on trolly for cremation

In yet another incident incited due to the fear of coronavirus, a 27-year old man's body was carried for cremation on a trolly. The incident took place in Mankad Gordi village in Odisha's Puri district. The deceased suffered from fever for about 10 days before breathing his last. He passed away while undergoing treatment at Gopa Community Health Centre in the area. The villagers, however, refused to carry his body on their shoulders, suspecting him to be a COVID-19 patient. Later in the day, four men including two of his relatives dressed in PPE kits carried him to the crematorium on a trolly.
