Odisha cops abuse & thrash youth for not wearing mask

At least five cops allegedly thrashed a youth at Aradi outpost in Odisha's Bahdrak district for not wearing the mask. In a video, it can be seen that as many as 10 people were detained by police for not wearing the mask on a temple premises. While police discussing the matter with other persons, suddenly a youth, identified as Subharanjan Mekap of Betali village, who was among those 10 people, started recording the video of the incident with his mobile phone. Irked over the youth's activity, police assaulted him and detained him for not wearing the mask. The discussion turns into an argument and as many as five cops are seen first verbally abusing the youth and then landing blows on him.
