Clerics appeal to Muslims to offer Eid prayers at home
Amid the unprecedented rise in Covid cases, the Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, and Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Mosque, Mufti Mukarram Ahmed have appealed to Muslims to offer Eid prayers at home. In a video message, both the clerics have urged the people to follow utmost precaution to protect themselves as well as others and avoid going out as well. Syed Ahmad Bukhari also said that Islamic law also permits praying at homes in unusual situations. Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be celebrated on the 14 of May.
