Mukhtar Ansari not safe in Uttar Pradesh, claims brother

Afzal Ansari, elder brother of gangster-turned politician Mukhtar Ansari, in an exclusive interview to ETV Bharat claimed that people are speculating a replication of Vikas Dubey kind encounter in the case of his younger brother. The Ghazipur MP claimed that his younger brother's life is in danger in Uttar Pradesh and people are making false statements against him and also sought interference of the court in the matter. The Supreme Court has ordered the Punjab government to hand over Mukhtar Ansari to the UP administration. He said that Ansari belongs to an influential family but still there are theories stating that he would be killed in an encounter. Mukhtar Ansari’s elder brother claimed that a total of five attempts had been made to kill the jailed lawmaker.
