Eastern Ladakh standoff: LAC issue has to be resolved at political level, says former Army officer

In an exclusive interview with the senior journalist Sanjib Kr Baruah, former Army officer Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma spoke extensively on the talks between military commanders of India and China over border standoff in eastern Ladakh region. Gen. Sharma said that there is a procedure laid down to resolve the issue of LAC but that procedure and the system laid down at the political level are failing since 2013. He further said that its a political issue and lines cannot be resolved at military meetings at different levels as it has to be resolved at the political level.
