India witnesses a steep rise in COVID-19 cases

India's COVID-19 cases crossed the one lakh mark on Tuesday with around five thousand cases reported every day for the last few days. The infection is certainly slower when compared to other countries in the world, but in regard to the frequency of cases in the country, the rise has been steep. Given the present situation, India may cross one lakh fifty thousand cases in the next 10 days.
