How fiery Jharkhand Tribals forced the British Army to drop their weapons
The British colonisation which spread over present-day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh was filled with atrocities and oppression. While in many parts rebellions, uprisings and revolutions were common, the British were able to suppress them successfully be it the first war of Independence or many others except for rebellion by the Tribals of Jharkhand. Despite being armed with cannons and guns, the Britishers would tremble in front of the Tribals as the latter were experts in using traditional weapons like arrows and bows. The British army was forced to drop their weapons as Tribals were specialized in guerrilla warfare and their rebellion characteristically differed from other movements of that time. The geographical location of Jharkhand also made it difficult for the Britishers to defeat them.
