In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, astrophysicist Sandip Chakrabarti has explained the technicalities of the Chandrayaan-2 mission. He spoke about pre-landing, landing and post-landing processes in the mission. The mission is very crucial for India as it is the first time that the country is attempting a soft-landing on the moon's surface. The part of the moon chosen for landing India's rover is completely unexplored and unmapped. After India succeeds in this mission, it will become the fourth country after the US, China and Russia to land on the moon's surface.
