Day after idol immersion, clean-up drive begins at Babughat

Durga Puja festivities in Bengal came to an end on Monday. Though devotees did not queue up to offer prayers at various pandals this year, in order to maintain necessary social distancing protocols, they soaked in the festive spell mostly with families and close friends. The idol immersion ceremony was also observed by just a handful of people. Cleaning of Babughat is undertaken by Kolkata Municipal Corporation after idols of Goddess Durga were immersed as part of Vijayadashmi celebrations yesterday.
