BJP leaders have a hand in Delhi riots: Rashid Alvi

Speaking to ETV Bharat on one year of the Delhi riots, former Member of Parliament and Senior Congress Leader Rashid Alvi said that the BJP leaders have been involved in the Delhi riots. On this very day last year, sectarian riots broke out in north-east Delhi and the news of riots continued till February 27, during which the minority community suffered the most, but despite this, Muslim youths are being arrested by the Delhi Police. He further said that despite the order of the Delhi High Court, even today the BJP leaders are roaming free. They have not only got protection from the police but also security has been provided by the party. Rashad Alvi further said that Bharatiya Janata Party has created such an atmosphere in the country over the last few years that all political parties want to save their vote bank on the basis of religion and so is the Kejriwal government in Delhi. According to the police report, 14 houses of Hindus and 50 houses of Muslims, while 42 shops of Hindus and 173 shops of Muslims were damaged during the Delhi riots.
