Baby shower organised for cow in Guntur

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh): In Issapalem village of Guntur district, two families jointly conducted a baby shower (seemantham) for their beloved cow. The owners of the cow Bellamkonda Nagalakshmi and her husband Baji, other family members celebrated this event in grand manner. They invited all the villagers to the event two days prior to the event. The families said they treated the cow as their family goddess. The couple who organised the ceremony said they were happy to celebrate the baby shower of their cow which they have been raising for two years. 108 women in the village participated in this special pooja and offered sarees. The family also arranged meals for all the villagers who attended this function.
