WATCH: Pune woman Sarpanch takes form of Goddess Durga to stop illegal liquor sale

Pune (Maharashtra): The illegal sale of liquor in Pimpri Dumala village of Shirur city here has led to stress in many families. Recently, when Manisha Khedkar, Sarpanch of the village witnessed a fight involving family members she decided to teach the liquor seller a lesson by herself. In this video, she can be seen hitting the liquor seller with a stick. The Sarpanch said that in order to avoid the illegal sale of liquor she decided to take the form of Goddess Durga as no proper action was taken by the police even after repeated complaints. She further said strict action will be taken if the situation prevails.
