Village accountant hits woman with pipe for violating lock down

A village accountant in Moodigere in Chikkamagaluru district hit a woman with a plastic pipe after he found her buying fruits during lockdown hours. The revenue officials imposing lockdown at the Market Road in Moodigere allegedly used the plastic pipes as sticks to punish the people buying vegetables and fruits as lockdown violators. The incident has caused public outrage in the area.
