Police detain CPI workers for attempting to burn Amit Shah's effigy

The Hyderabad police detained CPI (Communist Party of India) members after they attempted to burn an effigy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. Reportedly, they were demanding the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah over Delhi violence. Violence erupted between pro- and anti-CAA groups in areas like Jaffrabad, Maujpur and Gokulpuri in northeast Delhi on Sunday.
