Muslim neighbours conduct funeral of Hindu man in West Bengal
In a gesture of communal harmony, the Muslim neighbours conducted the funeral of a Hindu man in West Bengal's Churulia. Ramdhanu Rajak, 80 died of old age. The man had two sons of whom one works far away while the other is mentally ill. So the neighbours of Rajak, mostly Muslims took over the funeral proceedings and laid the old man to rest. Interestingly, Churulia is the home town of famed poet Kazi Nazrul Islam who kept writing for communal harmony.
