Mushroom cultivators hit hard by pandemic and farmers' protest

New Delhi: Covid-19 pandemic took a toll on the economy. The agriculture sector is reeling over the losses incurred. Pappan Singh Gehlot, a farmer living in outer Delhi’s Tigipur village, used to reap huge benefit from his mushroom cultivation. In 2020, he suffered huge loss owing to the pandemic. Even though he struggled and managed to harvest huge produce, farmers' protest in Delhi borders stalled the trade, aggravating the problem.
