Manali covered in blanket of snow

Manali: With the onset of snowfall, tourists are stranded in Manali. Due to extreme weather for three consecutive days, Superintendent of Police Kullu Gaurav Singh has directed to stop entry to Solanganala. Movement of vehicles is also halted in Jalori Pass. Over, 8 inches of snow has accumulated in Kinnaur. HRTC has directed the bus drivers to take the buses to a safe place. Reportedly, dozens of people travelling on the Aut-Ani-Sainz Highway 305 connecting the district headquarters had to walk for miles. People are cautioned as stones fall from the mountains. Meteorological department officer Sharma said that the morning temperature in the high altitude areas of the district had dropped below minus 6 degrees while the evening temparature had dropped below minus 5 degree.
