Lt Gen Mohanty visits Puri temple before taking over as new VCOAS

Prior to assuming office on January 31 as the new Vice-Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS), Lt Gen Chandi Prasad Mohanty offered prayers at the Lord Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri. Mohanty wished to visit his birth state Odisha as he would become the first-ever person from the state to assume the coveted post in the Indian Army.
