Freight train with supplies to armed forces derails in Guwahati

Five coaches of a goods train carrying food and essential commodities for the army derailed in Narengi in Guwahati city on Saturday. The incident caused traffic snarls as the train was stranded on Narengi-Chandrapur road and there was a huge rush in the area. The army personnel and police forces later reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The residents of the area are apprehensive that the train may fall off the tracks at any time.
