A video of an enraged tiger growling and frightening a bunch of tourists inside a jungle safari vehicle outside Jim Corbett National Park is doing rounds on social media. In the video, the tiger is seen charging at the frightened tourists. As the big cat tries to pounce at them, the driver reverses the vehicle. One can hear the tourists shrieking in fear as the enraged tiger tries to attack. Luckily, the big cat decided to move back into the woods and not follow them. The video is being widely shared on social media.

Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service officer, shared the video on Twitter. “Striped monk gets irritated. What will you do if at every designated hours people crash into your house as their matter of right?”  Nanda captioned the clip on Twitter. Since it was first shared by Nanda on Wednesday, the video has gone crazily viral on social.

The tourist jeep was going for a jungle safari in the Sitabani zone from Teda Gate when they encountered the angry tiger on the roadside. Seeing the tiger, the driver stopped the vehicle. On this, the big cat suddenly turned into an attacker and tried to jump toward the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle reversed amid the shrieks and cries of the tourists.

The gypsy driver of the tour in the Sitabani tourism zone, according to the inputs from the ground, had provoked the tiger. After which, it turned aggressive. Kundan Kumar, DFO of Ramnagar Forest Division took immediate cognizance of the matter. They have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Wildlife Protection Act by identifying vehicle drivers and its owner. Along with this, action has been taken to ban the said vehicle and driver in the tourist zone forever.
