Siddaramaiah slips while waving at supporters
Vijayanagar (Karnataka): Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lost his balance and slipped while he was waving at his supporters standing on what seemed to be the 'sidestep' of his car in Vijayanagar district. The incident took place when he came to Kudligi for campaigning for the party in the wake of the May 10 assembly elections. Siddaramaiah had arrived at the outer zone helipad by helicopter. His bodyguards took care of him immediately and made him sit inside the car. He was also given water. A few minutes later Siddaramaiah left for his scheduled program after taking rest for a while. "My foot slipped from the car. No one should panic. I am strong. This happened because this car does not have a sidestep. I am fine now," he tweeted later. The campaigning for the upcoming elections is going on in full swing. The votes will be counted on May 13.
