Pakistan's animal vendors are gearing up for a busy trading season ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. One young entrepreneur has decided to sell her animals online instead of taking them to the traditional markets. Twenty-year-old Munif has found a very modern method of attracting customers for this millennia-old tradition. A year ago, she created a portal to sell the animals online. The pandemic gave her the push to switch to online sales. "During COVID-19, people became interested in online shopping," Munif says. By selling them online, Munif misses out one step in the traditional sales chain - taking them to market. Instead, customers view videos of the animals online and then come to collect the ones they want to buy.
