Vets reassure pet owners over coronavirus fears

Both dogs and cats have coronavirus specific to their species, but there is no evidence to suggest pets can catch human coronavirus, or be a source of infection to humans. The general advice to pet owners is to keep clean and keep their animals clean. Besides, if owners are ill, they are advised to keep hand washing and do not have close contact with their pets.
