Netanyahu welcomes first vaccine arrivals in Israel

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Wednesday the first shipment of doses of the Pfizer vaccine, calling it a "big day of celebration" for the country. Half a million doses of the coronavirus vaccine are expected to reach Israel this month, according to local media. It is unclear how many doses of the vaccine arrived, but Haaretz news reported the country's Health Ministry was expecting 200,000 rations. So far, Israel's Ministry of Health has confirmed more than 340,000 cases infections and 2,932 deaths.
