Italian nurses release balloons, protest lack of support

Several hundred nurses gathered in Rome on Monday, releasing red balloons in the air in a protest against the Italian government that they say has deserted them despite all the lives they saved during the pandemic. Many nurses said that despite being praised by government officials and applauded by the public throughout the pandemic, they have little to show for all the risks they have taken.
