Illegal shark, ray fishing in Mediterranean threaten species survival

Threatened and critically endangered sharks and rays are being fished illegally across the Mediterranean despite legislation according to WWF. It claims illegal fishing in the Mediterranean is worse than anywhere else in the world, despite most countries in the region having legislation banning it.
