AlooTuk: This dish from Sindhi Cuisine is sure to steal your heart
This Sindhi potato dish is one of the simplest of all dishes, easy to make and very tasty at the same time. Essential to a traditional Sindhi thali (platter) this crisp and delicious side dish called "Tuk", is usually prepared when diners just sit down to begin their meal. Tuk, in general, is a dish made with root vegetables which are fried twice making it very crisp and crunchy. Here, we have used the universally loved vegetable, potatoes, sliced into a centimeter thick round slices and deep fried to a crispy perfection. The right amount of Indian spice mix added to it before serving accentuates the taste and flavour of the aloo tuk.
