Market Roundup: Sensex soars 399 points; diesel prices surpass all records

Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex surged 399 points to settle at 37,419 on Monday. Likewise, the broader NSE Nifty rose 120.50 points to end at 11,022.20. Diesel was priced at Rs 81.64 per litre in the national capital, higher than the previous level of Rs 81.52 a litre. Petrol prices, however, remain unchanged at Rs 80.43 a litre.
