Budget 2019: Will Surat's textile industry boom?

Surat: The second largest employment generator textile industry, after agriculture, is going through tough times. Lack of demand in the market, capital problems and technical shortcomings have hit the industry hard. In addition, demonetisation and GST have further dented the market. Traders associated with the textile industry in Surat hope that the government will take some positive steps to give relief to the industry in the forthcoming budget.
