Visual treat! Blackbucks in MP's Panna National Park
Officials at the Panna National Park in Madhya Pradesh have spotted the movement of a small group of blackbucks in the park recently. The officials have released drone images of the rare animals moving inside the park. Blackbuck, also known as Indian antelope, was included in the rare species list under Schedule I of the Indian Wildlife Act, 1972. A blackbuck can run at 70 kmph, which makes it one of the fastest surviving species in the subcontinent. Their speed also protects them from most predators alive today. Blackbuck enjoys the status of state animal in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.
