'You were born slaves, die as free men,' Bahuguna recounts Gandhi's words

Ahead of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, ETV Bharat spoke to noted environmentalist and Gandhian peace worker Sunderlal Bahuguna, who championed the famous Chipko movement of the 1970s. Recalling Gandhi's inspirational words to the youth during India's freedom struggle, Bahuguna said, "Gandhi told the youth that they were born as slaves, but should die free. He wanted India to be truly self-sufficient."
