Harassment over phone most common form of crime against women, says Swati Lakra

In an exclusive and candid interview with ETV Bharat, Swati Lakra, currently serving in the southern state of Telangana as Inspector General of Police (Law and order) and In-Charge of SHE Teams - a woman safety wing - shared her experiences, achievements and much more. Among a host of revelations, she stated that the most common form of crime committed against women is harassament over phones. She also clarified that contrary to the popular notion, complainants from rural areas prefer using smart phone applications such as WhatsApp to register their complaints with the SHE Teams.
