Sleepy mornings in a cozy blanket and lazy afternoons is what almost everyone struggles with everyday in winters. Therefore, going for work in this season is rather challenging. People often find themselves trapped in an excessively lethargic body, lack energy and sometimes even the motivation to work at all. Hence, the ETV Bharat Sukhibhava team spoke to wellness expert Nandita Sharma, founder of Jaivik India, to share some tips with us to help energetically kick start our working winter mornings.
Have A 'Good' Morning Start
Nandita Sharma explains that most people like to sleep late in the winter season, especially now that people binge watch series online, which makes it difficult for them to get up early in the morning. But to have a day full of energy, one must leave the bed by sunrise. The habit of waking up early in the morning not only keeps us healthy, but also generates positive energy in our body. You can also start your day with morning walk, moderate exercises or stretching to keep yourself active throughout the day.
Meditation And Positive Thinking
Meditation not only reduces your stress, but also transmits energy into the body and brain. It also helps in increasing the concentration. Positive thinking too affects our behaviour in one way or the other. Living with a thought that everything will be alright, helps us work better and calmly deal with tough and problematic situations in life.
Light And Easy To Digest Meals
Most people like to consume more spicy, oily and fat rich food during winters. But one must remember that such foods are good only if consumed once in a while and only light and easily digestible foods must be consumed throughout the day at regular intervals. This way, the energy levels in the body will be maintained and laziness will be reduced.
