Basil/Tulsi
Tulsi is one such plant, which is available in almost every Indian house. Along with cleansing the environment, its smell also keeps the mosquitoes away. You can also use its leaves over mosquito bites, to soothe the area.
Neem
Alike Tulsi, Neem also purifies the atmosphere if its tree is planted outside the house. It consists of elements, which are known to keep away mosquitoes and other insects. Several neems based mosquito repellents and balms are available in the market. You can also apply neem oil on the body to keep mosquitoes away.
